As we are preparing for 2016 the question comes up - What do our customers want from us? Please share all ideas and request for things you would like to see new or improved at your Storm Lake Marina. Thank you for your continued support!
If you have stopped by the Storm Lake Marina this month you have seen the inside is changing. Brian Nielsen has handmade a beautiful bar that we set up overlooking the patio inside the Storm Lake Marina. This bar will sit about 16 people with additional seating so there is more than a enough room to invite your friends, co- workers and maybe even your family members down for a relaxing afternoon or evening at your Storm Lake Marina.
Tell us your thoughts and excitement for this new addition to the marina and any suggestions you may have.
It doesn't take much to remember that we have pets in our community. In fact, if you don't watch your step, your liable to step in one such reminder! Besides being unsightly and smelly, animal waste can be hazardous to the health of our children who play in the community and other pets.
The Oil Leak from the City of Storm Lake Dredge has been contained.
STORM LAKE, Iowa (AP) — Officials say hydraulic oil that had leaked from a dredge in the Storm Lake marina area has been contained.
The Sioux City Journal reports that city staffers discovered the leak around 7 a.m. Thursday. The Iowa Natural Resources Department says the 10 to 20 gallons of the vegetable-based oil was contained and collected by absorbent booms.
Department environmental specialist Julie Sievers says she doesn’t expect the leak to have a significant environmental impact because the oil was recovered so quickly.
A worker shut off an underwater valve to stop the leak, which occurred during routine maintenance after winter storage.
